Preparing nutritious meals and snacks based on dietary requirements and personal preferences, including assistance with feeding for patients who need it.

Keeping the patient's immediate living area clean and safe — including bed making, laundry, dishes, and tidying to maintain a comfortable, healthy environment.

Helping patients move safely between bed, chair, and bathroom using proper transfer techniques — reducing fall risk and supporting the goals set by the physical therapy team.

Recording blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration under the direction of the supervising nurse — providing early detection of changes in the patient's condition.

Providing genuine human connection through conversation, reading, games, and shared activities — combating the isolation that often accompanies illness or reduced mobility.

Supporting patients in light exercise, range-of-motion activities, and therapeutic exercises prescribed by their therapy team — reinforcing rehabilitation goals between therapy visits.
